Making inclusion visible
Building LGBTQ+ joy, programming and partnerships inside major public-event spaces where visibility once felt unexpected.
I’m William Zakrajshek. Before the fairs, books and podcast, San Diego knew me as DJ Will Z. Today, I’m the founder behind Out at the Fair, co-creator of 3Dudes1Life Creative, host of A Little Throuple Tea and co-author of Tres Amigos, Una Vida. The platform changes. The work is still about belonging.
For nearly two decades, I’ve built platforms that turn visibility into belonging.
I first became known in San Diego nightlife and community circles as DJ Will Z. For roughly twelve years, Top 40 and hip-hop sets, Pride events, residencies and packed rooms taught me how crowds move, how culture travels and how community forms in real time. I later helped grow Out at the Fair from an informal gathering into an official LGBTQ+ fair event with reach across multiple fairs and states.
That work evolved into OutAt Inc. Today, the same instinct powers books, podcasting, creator-led media, public speaking, consulting and the growing 3Dudes1Life universe.
At the center of all of it is one belief: belonging is something you can design.

Recognized by San Diego Metro for entrepreneurship and community impact.
Out at the Fair received Western Fairs Association’s award for innovation, quality and leadership.
OutAt became the next-stage company behind the work and joined the Techstars Austin accelerator.
Tres Amigos, Una Vida, A Little Throuple Tea and 3Dudes1Life Creative brought the full storytelling platform into view.
For roughly twelve years, I was a Top 40 and hip-hop DJ in San Diego. I learned the craft after DJ Nikno invited me to open, then built a public chapter through Hillcrest nightlife, resident sets, Pride-related events and regional bookings before that era naturally closed around the pandemic.
Publicly documented as resident DJ venues during the San Diego nightlife chapter.
Bookings extended beyond San Diego to Minneapolis Pride, San Jose and Long Beach.
San Diego Metro profiled the custom mobile app in 2016 as an early regional DJ technology milestone.
Programming a dance floor became the first version of designing an audience experience.
Selected flyers, club photos, app screenshots and surviving mixes will live here as the archive is assembled.
Category-defining LGBTQ+ community programming built inside one of America’s most traditional public spaces. From a San Diego fairground gathering to an award-winning multi-fair platform, Out at the Fair proved that belonging can be designed, scaled and celebrated in public.
